Mr. Basit specializes in the field of family law (including divorce, time-sharing disputes, and domestic violence) and criminal defense.
Prior to becoming an associate at Lyons, Snyder & Collin, Mr. Basit worked as a prosecutor at the Collier County State Attorney’s Office and later the Broward County State Attorney’s Office.
During his time at the State Attorney’s Office, Mr. Basit tried dozens of cases and argued hundreds of motions.
Mr. Basit grew up in Miami Lakes, FL. and currently lives in Pembroke Pines, FL with his wife, Kathlene and children Anthony and Liam, and has another son named Brayden.
